Anna Rose Ibele
About us
Dr. Anna Ibele is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Univeristy of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and a Doctor of Medicine from the Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Following this she completed a surgical residency at the University of Wisconsin and a fellowship in Complex Minimally Invasive Foregut and Bariatric Surgery at Indiana University. Dr. Ibele was in clinical practice at Geisinger Medical Center, a high volume bariatric and complex esophageal surgery center in Danville Pennsylvania, prior to being recruited to join the faculty at the University of Utah. Dr Ibele`s clinical interests include the surgical and endoscopic management of obesity and gastroesophageal reflux disease with an emphasis on minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques. Dr. Ibele specializes in the surgical treatment of obeisty, treatment of disorders of the esophagus, stomach, intestines and gallbladder and also performs minimally invasive repair of hiatal and paraesophageal hernias, abdominal wall hernias and groin hernias. She currently offers clinical services to patients at University Hospital and South Jordan Health Center and endoscopic procedures at the Huntsmann Cancer Institute.
