I see couples therapy as an art form. I approach therapy in the same way I would a challenging piece of music-with curiosity, creativity, skill, and humility. Is your relationship a beautifully blended duet, or a cacophony of sound? Do you have a voice? Active listening, trust-building and authentic communication, skills honed in the theatre, set the stage for productive therapeutic relationships. With warmth, humor, empathy, and optimism, I will help you and your loved one rediscover and enjoy living in harmony.
You don't have to be an artist to come to Artful Couples Therapy. However, if you are a creative or performing artist, I offer a personal understanding of stressors unique to artists and will likely save you a lot of explaining.
