Mike Barrett started working on cars with his “Papa” at the age of 12. Later, he began taking vocational classes in high school. Mike had such a knack for mechanical functionality, that after he graduated high school he decided to attend North Western College to study to be a High Performance Automotive Technician. Mike has been an ASE Certified Technician for over 20 years, earning his Master Certification over 10 years ago. He and his wife Jennifer have been married for 15+ years. Mike is the proud father of two beautiful children, one son and one daughter. His family has happily supported him every step in his career. He is the Founder and sole owner of Auto Excel. Seeing a need for affordable, quality, and honest automotive repair companies, with integrity at the center of his business plan, Mike decided to open up his own business in March of 2010 he set a goal for one year, and like most thinks he sets out to achieve he hit that date. Auto Excel open it’s doors in April 2011. Starting from scratch, Auto Excel began with two lifts and the necessary equipment to do the highest quality of work. Since then, Auto Excel has tripled its capacity and the business has grown exponentially, with the help of his bother Barry, and an exceptional team, along with loyal customers, referring their family and friends and putting their trust in an excellent company. Auto Excel being a family business, Mike’s mother Charlotte and Mike’s two younger brothers Mathew and Brian, have also contributed to the success of the business. Especially his mother who for 2 years put her plans on hold to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to work in the company until it took off. We are experts in heating, air conditioning, brakes and suspension as well as all drive train repairs and service. Additionally, we service and repair all domestic and import vehicles.
