About us

Dr. Davis graduated and received his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed a fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Davis also received complex cardiac valve, aortic and coronary surgical training at the Cleveland Clinic and completed course study in complex mitral valve surgery from the Carpentier Heart Valve Club in Paris, France. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Fellow American College of Surgeons, and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Society. Special interests include Valvular heart surgery, including minimally invasive techniques, improvement in cardiopulmonary bypass techniques, arrhythmias surgery, cardiac assist devices, surgical ventricular restoration and remodeling for congestive heart failure.
