About us

Bellport Animal Hospital is a full service small animal veterinary hospital which provides comprehensive medical and surgical services throughout the lifetime of your pet. We stress preventive care, client education and the early detection and treatment of diseases in dogs, cats, ferrets, pocket pets and the occasional reptile and bird. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner. Originally established in the 1950’s, Bellport Animal Hospital is also one of the longest established veterinary hospitals on Long Island. In addition, we have been an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1972. This elite certification is held by only 15% of animal hospitals in the United States. As an accredited member of the AAHA, we are dedicated to providing excellence in small animal care. Our hospital is evaluated regularly by AAHA to ensure that we meet the association’s standards of excellence. These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including facilities, equipment, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, medical records, emergency services, dental and nursing care, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine. Bellport Animal Hospital is proud to hold this distinction. We also have two locations, our main office in Bellport and our satellite clinic in Sayville. We offer flexible and convenient office hours to meet any of your scheduling needs.
