Dr. Berfin Karatas Jacobs is a renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon, educator, and researcher with extensive clinical and academic experience. She is a Clinical Associate Professor at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry, specializing in evidence-based implant dentistry, advanced surgical techniques, digital workflows, and AI-driven clinical planning. Her research spans bone healing, treatment optimization, CAD/CAM technology, and AI applications in oral surgery, including collaboration with Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Jacobs also leads the Women in Implantology Study Club, fostering mentorship, leadership, and education for women in the field
