About us

My name is Roger Bonsante, owner of Big River Lawn & Landscape. My wife Lucia and I began our lawn service venture in 1993. We were both working full time but wanted something more. Something of our own. So we thought, " Why not do something that we love doing?" We both enjoyed meeting new people and working outdoors. We really enjoyed making the yard look beautiful.
Well, we learned that contrary to popular belief, it would take a lot more than a lawn mower and a pickup truck to be successful in the landscaping business. There was much to learn, classes to take, and knowledge and experience to be gained. 1993 was a long time ago, but it seems as it were just yesterday.
Much has changed in the world in the last 23 years, one thing that hasn't changed, is my passion for working with people and making their property look great.
We are fortunate today to be able after all these years, to make a living doing what we really love doing.
