I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Human Sciences from Texas A&M University – Kingsville. I have experience with all age groups in a variety of settings, including the hospital, outpatient clinic; long-term care facility, dialysis center and several community nutrition programs. In addition, I have worked closely with elementary school students in a research project conducted by The University of Texas at Austin. We educated students on nutrition, cooking, and gardening to promote the acceptance of fruits and vegetables.

Everyone has different goals, lifestyles, and medical histories, so I believe in an individualized approach to nutrition counseling. I will work with clients to determine sustainable nutrition goals that can help them maintain a healthy lifestyle for years to come. My aim in nutrition counseling is to sway people from incorrect information/fad diets and to instead help them create a life that can be both enjoyable and healthy at the same time.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and puppy, cooking new recipes, working out and going to yoga classes. I also love local coffee shops, live music and comedy shows. I find grocery shopping and meal planning therapeutic, and I am always looking new ways to make my meals more affordable and nutritious.
