Blazing Star’s mission is to provide a joyful learning community, where children are given the freedom to explore the world.

We offer an academic year program, as well as a robust schedule of summer camps and day off camps.

Imagine that instead of sitting in a seat all day doing worksheets and taking tests, reading or being read to about the world, your child could have the freedom to actually experience the world every day. Our self-directed learners can choose how and what they want to learn, when and how to move their bodies, and spend more time cultivating meaningful relationships with their peers and teachers than in a conventional school.

At Blazing Star, we view children as scientists, artists, explorers, and storytellers. We aim to provide a rich environment where children, who are naturally curious from birth, can continue to develop as problem solvers and critical thinkers, just as they were when they taught themselves to walk and talk.
