She earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedicine from the City College of New York Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in New York, New York, before completing her medical degree at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. A pediatric internship and residency further refined her skill set.

Among Dr. Oguagha-Okerulu’s professional experience are roles in rural pediatric care, hospital clinical work, and time spent in private pediatric practice.
