Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Powell grew up on his family’s small farm, where he learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and dedication—qualities that have guided him throughout his career in medicine. His path to becoming a physician was inspired by a deeply personal experience: witnessing his father’s life-saving liver transplant and the profound impact of skilled, compassionate medical care.
