About us

I enjoy primary care because it's all-encompassing. It allows me to use a comprehensive, head-to-toe approach in treating patients while also building lasting relationships with them. It's incredibly gratifying to care for patients when they're young and continue caring for them as they go off to college, start their careers and have families of their own. \n A strong healthcare team begins with a primary care provider. I enjoy ensuring my patients receive comprehensive care in my office and throughout the Novant Health system. \n I strongly believe that patient-provider relationships should be rooted in shared decision-making. I see my role as being, in part, an educator. I provide patients with the background they need on their specific health condition and help them decide on the best "game plan" - an analogy I use often. \n It's an honor for patients to place their trust in me as I work alongside them as a supporter and advocate. \n My wife, Rachel, and I have two sons - Walker and Wells - and our hound dog, Major. As a family, we love doing anything outdoors, including spending time in the mountains and the beach and enjoying all North Carolina has to offer. I'm originally from New York and spent my childhood in Ohio. I'm proud to say North Carolina is now my home.
