About us

Candace is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology with Norton Heart Specialists. With over 17 years of experience in healthcare, she brings vast knowledge and expertise.
Candace is a Cardiovascular Team Member of the American College of Cardiology. She is dual-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the AANP and ANCC. She received her undergraduate degree from Midway University, then, went on to pursue a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Indiana Wesleyan University. She continued on to the University of Kentucky where she received a Post-Master’s degree as an Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. 
A Kentucky native, Candace enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, reading, and exercising.
Candace’s patient care philosophy is to treat every patient individually and with respect, while involving them in their plan of care. She believes each and every patient should be educated about their health in order to make informed decisions and actively participate in their healthcare. She believes that establishing a good patient-provider relationship is extremely important in achieving and advancing patient goals.
