About us

I decided to become a physician because I really am passionate about preventive health care and helping people manage their health problems. Patients don't always know how to advocate for themselves. And I really enjoy being a patient advocate and helping them along their health journey. When I was in medical school here in Fort Smith, I did med student rotations here at Mercy. I rotated through all the different specialties: surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine, family medicine. That?s where I really found my passion for family medicine. What I really want patients to get out of the visit with me is knowing the details of their health or illness matter. I want them to know that any questions they have will be answered. All they have to do is ask. I want them to know exactly what's going on with their health care journey so that they can advocate for themselves in any way they need and that they should not be afraid to ask any questions.
