Catherine Lawrence is a family medicine nurse practitioner at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She treats patients with depression, anxiety, hypertension, type II diabetes, and chronic back pain. She specializes in minor women’s health procedures such as pap smears. Her research includes health disparities, preventive health, public health, and tropical diseases.Catherine chose a profession in healthcare because the science behind the medicine fascinated her. She values preventative care which helped her to narrow in on primary care as a specialty.
