About us

Dr. Klein received her bachelors of science in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Arizona where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Klein earned her medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, Calif. She completed her residency in internal medicine at UCSF in San Francisco, Calif. Her fellowship in nephrology was completed at the University of Colorado. In addition to her nephrology fellowship, she finished a medical transplant fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Piedmont Transplant Institute, Dr. Klein was a transplant nephrologist at Washington University School of Medicine as the Medical Director for high risk kidney transplantation and pancreas transplantation. She also served as the Transplant Fellowship Program Director. Dr. Klein has been practicing medicine for 13 years and is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. She is also a member of the American Society of Transplantation and the American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Klein welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
