Dr. Christopher V. Wilhelm is originally from Long Island and is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery. He completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University, where he also played collegiate baseball-an experience that shaped his passion for sports medicine and helping others return to peak performance. He went on to earn a Master of Health Science degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health before obtaining his medical degree from the University at Buffalo. Dr. Wilhelm completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Yale Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation / Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by advanced fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City.During his time at HSS, Dr. Wilhelm was privileged to care for professional athletes, including serving as one of the team doctors for the New York Mets. This high-level experience sharpened his skills in managing complex shoulder injuries and deepened his commitment to delivering elite-level care to every patient he treats.Dr. Wilhelm is passionate about treating shoulder conditions across all ages-from adolescent athletes to individuals in their 90s with arthritis or degenerative disorders. He leverages the latest surgical techniques and cutting-edge preoperative planning software to provide personalized, precise care tailored to each patient's goals.Now practicing in Westchester, Dr. Wilhelm is proud to bring world-class care to his community-offering academic-level expertise in his patients' own backyard.
