About us

Christopher W. Goodman, MD, received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and completed his internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta. He is a clinical assistant professor with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and currently serves as medical director for 10 East at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Dr. Goodman's professional interests are focused on quality improvement, social medicine and interprofessional care. He works to establish partnerships to advance health for all people, whether through organizing on housing issues or advancing access to life-saving medication for opioid use disorder. He is most excited about his current work with a team of faculty that will attempt to build the social determinants of health into medical education. Dr. Goodman is the co-medical director for the Good Samaritan Clinic, a local non-profit that primarily serves Spanish-speaking patients. He also co-leads the QI collaborative called QUEST – which pairs health students with mentors in clinical improvement teams.
