Located in Chula Vista, California, Chula Vista Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addiction. MAT is an evidence-based, research-supported approach to opioid addiction treatment that includes the closely supervised use of prescription medication along with one or more types of counseling. In the decades since MAT began to be offered at methadone clinics in the United States, several studies have documented its effectiveness in helping people avoid relapse and achieve long-term recovery from opioid addiction.
