Image 1 | Club Pilates I'm a certified Pilates Trainer/Fitness /Dance Instructor with years of experience. I've had the honor to manage fitness programs and facilities at the Commercial, Private and Government levels for the past 15 years. My love for Pilates beckoned me to open my Pilates studio in 2007. 

 Before my fitness journey began I danced professionally for Chuck Davis' company, The African American Dance Ensemble and taught Dance and Theater Movement within the school system. Originally from North Carolina, I have more than 20 years of Dance and Theater experience. Debbie is a Native of Washington, DC (NE). She is an expert Pilates instructor with 18 years of practice, study and teaching.

"Get ready for the Teresa Experience!"  A former gym rat with many years of hanging out with the guys lifting weights and also an avid runner with the DMV as my own personal playground.  Over time, my body started to let me know that all that pounding of my joints wasn't going to sustain me for a lifetime and then there was "the fall"...  walking over a water meter cover that wasn't secured to the ground changed everything.  Excessive doctor appointments, chronic pain and hearing "you will never wear heels again" put me on a journey to repairing all the years of damage to my body as well as to my foot after my fall.  Answering a random phone call, agreeing to try the free Intro class, and being introduced to the REFORMER was all it took to make me a believer.  Not only did it help repair my entire body, but in addition, I also feel 20 years younger. Specializing in scoliosis, chronic conditions, yoga and Pilates for bigger bodies, and meditation and mindfulness to treat stress, anxiety, and PTSD, she also provides coaching services for health and wellness entrepreneurs. 

Kimberly is the kind of movement instructor that transfers her energy, curiosity and excitement for teaching to her students. Her experience as a Pilates instructor and past work in physical therapy positively influence how she teaches movement practices. Adept at recognizing anatomical issues and movement patterns, she teaches movement to accommodate however your body shows up on the mat and helps people remove trauma physically trapped in their bodies. Dr.Chula Puwacharoen, D.Ac., L.Ac.

Dr.Chula is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Licensed Acupuncturist in Maryland State. In 2009, Dr. Chula starts her Pilates journey in paradise, Hawaii. She received the highest quality and training excellece from Stott Pilates. Through Stott Pilates, she offers the varying levels of movement to meet the exercise needs of all clients, from post-rehab to elite athlete. Her mission is to help people gain their health, balance and vitality through Pilates and Acupuncture. A workout enthusiast and Georgia native, Devon Ray, enjoys helping students understand the mind body
connection that Pilates offers and helping students push themselves to uncover new limits.
Previous hobbies included running track, kick boxing, boxing, ranger challenge with ROTC, rock climbing,
football, weight lifting and volleyball. However, that all changed when she tore her achilles one day
while playing football. Her active lifestyle was brought to a screeching halt. She had no idea that this one
injury would lead to multiple surgeries, other injuries and being confined to crutches and a wheelchair
for over 4 years.
While unfortunate, this hardship is what led her to pilates. Pilates is the only practice that enabled her
to workout and strength train without putting excess weight on her leg. Moreover, pilates enabled her
to walk when nothing more could be done in physical therapy.
As a result, Devon brings a unique perspective on gauging ability especially when related to clients who
are recovering from sports injuries. She integrates her athletic background into class as her programs
are heavily influenced by a variety of sports and activities. Devon’s passion for overall wellness is vast as
she is currently pursuing certification as a Nutrition coach. Dr. Shelia is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Health
Coach. Her Pilates certifications are through Peak Pilates and The Professional Health and Fitness
Institute. She has used Pilates for rehabilitation in the clinic and with private clients and has seen
firsthand the great benefits of incorporating Pilates for health. Dr. Shelia is also an AFAA certified fitness
instructor, starting her fitness journey over 20 years ago teaching spin classes and has taught various
exercise formats over the years.
She is a two-time bestselling author of “To Pee or Not To Pee?” The Guide for Reducing and Eliminating
Urinary Incontinence and “Stop Worrying About Bladder Leaks” The Guide to Overcoming Urinary
Incontinence. As a health and wellness advocate, she speaks on various health topics. She is the host of
a weekly streaming television show, Living Well with Dr. Shelia, seen on KP Media TV, seen on several
streaming networks. In 2018 Allan was introduced to the world of Pilates as a co-owner and instructor at Club Pilates Laurel. Allan is living his life’s dream by incorporating his 20 plus years as a strength coach, while growing in his knowledge and ability as a Pilates Instructor to train members and operate Club Pilates Laurel alongside his wife (Kim). My wife and I are determined to make each of our Club Pilates studios like a family where through sound training guidance, warmth and encouragement we journey with our CP Family Members to live healthy lifestyles. We hope to make Club Pilates a cornerstone for health and wellness in the community of Prince George’s County Maryland for many years to come.

Allan’s journey into the health and wellness industry began as a strength coach started in 1998. He became certified and began coaching at small studios in Delaware and Maryland. Allan quickly recognized the need to learn new training methods and approaches to better suit the needs of his clients.  

Allan believes exercise should be a regular part of everyone’s lifestyle habits which is why he really enjoys relating to and having fun with his clients as he sees them improving in their movement quality, strength and endurance. He is adept at designing and implementing programs for a wide spectrum of populations. 

Allan has a BA degree in Criminal Justice from Hampton University. He holds the following certifications: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; FMS/certified, having learned how to identify and improve movement imbalances through corrective exercises; Level-2 StrongFirst Kettlebell Instructor. This certification is one of the more grueling certifications in the fitness industry requiring 3 straight days of intense training designed to test your physical proficiency, stamina and strength. Out of a class of over 60 individuals Allan was one of the one third that was able to achieve this status. Ashley has always been a fitness enthusiast from playing soccer, running track, hiking, ballet,
you name it, until ACL, meniscal and rectus femoris tendon tears led to multiple surgeries. Even
after those things, Ashley found a new passion for CrossFit however she was mindful of the
need to fully rehabilitate her injuries and recover range of motion not just to be better at
weightlifting but in movement through life. Enter Pilates. Since her first class, Ashley was called
to the concepts of Contrology and the mindful awareness it calls to the body. It was like an
extension of physical therapy that lends itself to the mind as well. After years of practicing,
Ashley decided to pursue Pilates instruction to bring the benefits she experienced to others.
