About us

Established in 1960, CLA (formerly the Coin Laundry Association) is the largest trade association dedicated to the self-service laundry industry. Based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, CLA is a national not-for-profit organization that serves laundry owners, prospective owners, equipment distributors, service providers, and manufacturers. Governed by a Board of Directors and supported by a professional staff, CLA rebranded in 2024 to better reflect its commitment to modernity and the vended laundry community. Our core values—Connect, Learn, Advocate—are at the heart of everything we do. Our new tagline, "the preeminent resource for laundry professionals," underscores our dedication to providing the connectivity, advocacy, education, and unbiased industry research that laundry professionals need to thrive.
CLA provides connections through the local and national face-to-face events we hold throughout the year. CLA offers learning opportunities through our monthly virtual events, as well as the guides, industry surveys and video content we publish on a regular basis. Advocacy is what sets us apart and core to our mission to protecting and advancing the industry.
