The Colts Neck Inn was once owned by Joshua Huddy, a patriot, hanged by the British in retaliation for the death of Philip White, as they claimed. Huddy was captured by Refugees, more officially known as members of the board of Associated Loyalists, after a vain defense of his home with the help of his wife and servant girl. Lots were drawn to decide who should be hanged in retaliation for Huddy and Charles As gill was saved from the fate only by Washington.
The Colts Neck Inn is now a popular stopover in summer for many who are bound for the beaches or the racetrack, as well as a welcome watering hole and eatery for the locals. Come enjoy our Outdoor Dining, on our Garden Patio Our music starts at 9:00 pm and plays until 1:00 am.
Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Open Mic night every Thursday starting at 8pm! Live entertainment!
