Initially ordered 3 mixes (bread) 02/01/2009 (sunday) received them the 9th. Order took awhile to be shipped out as one owner was ill-whcih I found out after a phone call. I called to see if product was shipped as there was no indication on website or email. That was changed after my call.
Was not pressured to buy anything else in that call.
Shipping charges are estimates only The shipping charges for the Postal Service are close ESTIMATES; Cooking Up Ideas reserves the right to charge more to cover our actual costs. If the estimate is substantially lower than real costs, we will contact you via e-mail for approval before processing your order.
I assumed they'd contact if higher as well. I was wrong in assuming. Shipping charges were more than estimated and thusly more than I had budgeted so I ended up with a NFS charge at the bank. The shipping info could be a bit clearer, but one also shouldn't assume unless otherwise stated. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. (On a fixed income watching pennies is a must.)
Then lo and behold out of the blue I get a package, one bread mix and $20 to cover my NFS at the bank. That was a surprise. Customer service does exist. They seem to genuinely care about things when things go wrong. If I shop there again, it'll be with triple the amount of shipping in my bank account or when they change their shipper or provide closer estimates to the real cost.

As for the bread mixes themselves. 2 were a hit one not.
The Cinnamon Raisin Bread Mix lasted two days-if that, moist and flavorful. The White Bread Mix was good as well. not dry, good texture. The Royal Hawaiian Bread Mix was dry and tasted a bit sour. texture was off a bit too. So this is the only one I could not reccomend.
But as a whole, decent product, they seem to care about customers which is surprising nowadays.
I would love it if they had a different shipper or different shipping options to avoid issues in the future with any of thier orders. Or perhaps they can get a scale and take it to their local post office and sync their scale with the PO, so they can get closer estimates.
So if you are careful and have a bit more than the estimate set aside for the shipping to be safe I would reccomend them.
