Dr Corwin performed emergency retina reattachment surgery on my left eye. He demanded to be paid upfront in full before he would do the procedure. Over several post-op visits during the month afterwards, he told me very little and led me to believe that everything was fine, even though I still couldn't see. Then he went out of town and turned me over to Dr Martides his partner who told me that the wall of my eye was full of blood, my retina had come detached and that I may lose my eyesight. Martides was right, Martides did another surgery to try to save my sight, but it was too far gone, and I am now virtually bliind in my left eye. Dr Corwin has never said a word to me about it or offerred any explanation of what went wrong. I would sue him but changes in the California law make it virtually impossible to get a lawyer to sue a doctor for something like this.
