Cutthroat Clams in Pine Island is a great place to buy clams. I am an accomplished chef and avid fisherman that has fished and clammed in Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound ,N.Y. which both haves some of the best clams and oysters in the world. I moved here to SW Fl. 7 years ago and couldn't find great clams until I met the people at Cut Throat Clams at a Farmers Market in Bonita Springs.. The clams from Cut Throat Clams are always fresh and clean and by far some of the best clams that I have ever eaten. Their freshness and their salty brininess is outstanding. Great on the half shell, great steamed, great in any dish and great on the grill. Nice family business and very nice people to do business with. If clams are a staple on your menu in your house or restaurant, then you need to call Cut Throat Clams because you're missing the boat if you are not buying your clams from Cut Throat Clams.
