About us

Before teaching people how to ride, Donna Casavecchia, owner and operator of Cycle Guru Motorcycle School in Oceanside, NY, was a Manager/Buyer for a Harley Davidson dealership. Donna got her training as a Rider Coach in 2004 by the renowned, late Gasper Trama.

In 2006 she opened her own Motorcycle School. She has personally taught and licensed over a thousand students and has such a great reputation that if you are standing among a group of motorcyclists, chances are one or more riders in the group learned to ride from her.

Donna has been written up in several news publications and has appeared on Fox 5 News demonstrating riding techniques. She also appeared on the cable TV show It Takes a Thief aiding the cast in "stealing" a motorcycle.

Cycle Guru Motorcycle School offers hands-on personalized training to help you develop the overall control and confidence needed to prepare for the Basic Rider Course or DMV Road Test. Lessons are highly recommended for the individuals who might be apprehensive or unsure of their ability to ride a motorcycle.
