Daniel Boeder, MD
About us
As a high school student interested in science, the day Daniel Boeder held a human heart in his hands during a visit to St. Louis University was the day he knew he wanted to be a doctor.
Ultimately his focus became the human brain – child and adolescent psychiatry in particular.
“I had family members who needed mental healthcare and didn’t know where to go or who to go to. I saw the need. Dealing with mental illness is a huge strain. I want to help as much as I can.”
Dr. Boeder spent most of his childhood in town in southwestern Illinois, Maeystown, population between 130 and 140, where his father served as his role model.
“He was gentle, compassionate, a good listener, curious, non-judgmental, and tried to be helpful when he could.”
Those are the same qualities Dr. Boeder, the father of four himself, uses when caring for his young patients and their families.
