About us
Dr. David Schneider is a cardiologist and medical director of Cardiovascular Services at the University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington, VT. He is also a professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. Dr. Schneider specializes in heart and vascular conditions such as heart attacks, heart valve disease, and treatment of hypertension and hyperlipidemia, which is an abnormally high concentration of fats in the blood.
His research includes understanding factors that promote the formation of blood clots and the optimal use of treatments to prevent blood clots that are an important cause of heart attack and stroke.
Dr. Schneider enjoys working with people to help prevent development or progression of cardiovascular disease. He views his relationship with his patients as a partnership focused on health.
