About us
My name is Chirag Desai. I fight for the “little guys” – the underdogs, the victims, the fighters, the survivors, the powerless, the ones who have been wronged, when they need help the most. I hear you, I am with you, and I will fight for you. I was born in Zambia (in Africa). My family immigrated into Mississauga, Ontario in Canada when I was 7 years old. My parents were both blue-collar factory workers and we did not come from a lot of money. I left home (and my family) when I was 18 years old and chose Charlotte, North Carolina, in pursuit of the American Dream. I knew I wanted to be in the United States and attended UNC Charlotte for Psychology. Shortly after graduation from UNC Charlotte, I moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, for law school. So, though I’m not from here, I chose to be here in West Virginia. My journey made me resilient – and you need a resilient advocate. Through my journey, I overcame many obstacles: I was accepted last into my class at WVU Law, I was told by others that I couldn’t succeed unless I went the traditional route (to a big firm and on the defense-side first), and that I should consider changing my name to be successful in West Virginia. Those things were all false: I became partner at a personal injury law firm when I was 29, then got into my own partnership for a few years, and in January of 2023, launched Desai Law. I have what it takes to fight for your cause, because I have always been the underdog. I love a good underdog story. Launching Desai Law is a dream come true. I help people, day in and day out. I help people in some of the most unfortunate situations in their lives – after they have sustained a traumatic injury or some other preventable tragedy. I also help employees hold their employers accountable, in some instances. Every time: the opposition is a powerful person, entity, or insurance company. David beat Goliath with a single stone – why can’t you? We are committed to helping people turn their tragedy into triumph. If you want to learn more, read our reviews [li
