About us

Are you unemployed? Have you been laid off or received a notice of layoff? If so, you might qualify for a little-known government grant designed to help people just like you who are unemployed and trying to get back into the job market. It is called the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
WIOA provides free training grants to help people get trained, certified and placed in high-demand fields such as information technology, cyber-security, human resources and project management. You can use this to acquire certifications that employers are looking for like CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, Project Management Professional, Scrum Master, SHRM and more at no cost to you.
The idea is that there are fields in which there are not enough qualified people and there are declining fields in which there are too many people. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) addresses this problem by providing free funding for job training in high-demand fields to qualified would-be workers. This training is intended to make your skills marketable so you can get a job. This is a grant, not a loan. If you qualify, everything is covered, even the exam.
The amounts vary by county. Currently Pasco County pays up to $5,000.

Service Area Carrollwood, Citrus Park-fern Lake, Clair Mel, Clair Mel City, Gibsonton, Lutz, Macdill Afb, Oldsmar, Palma Ceia, Palm River-east Tampa, Pinellas Park and 10 more. View all
