What's so great about CrossFit, anyway?

Do you really want to know? CrossFit is a combination of three fundamental pillars of fitness - Cardio, Gymnastics and WeightLifting. When put together, these three pillars form a tripod of strength training. CrossFit uses different exercises from each of these categories in countless combinations that vary everyday. All of these combinations not only help you get an amazingly intense workout, but they help you get stronger and maintain a general level of fitness. CrossFit prepares you for the unknown - because the one certain thing about life is that NOTHING is certain!!

PROGRAMS

GROUP CLASSES

DMB CrossFit in Carmel, NY offers a variety of group classes that will psych you up, make you strong and get you fit - at any athletic level.

On Ramp/Foundations:

​An introductory group of 8 classes for every new CrossFit athlete that will instruct and enforce proper form for all CrossFit movements. After learning the technique behind each movement, all members will do a WOD that will reinforce what was just learned. For obvious safety reasons, this is MANDATORY for all new to CrossFit.

CrossFit:

​Group classes that follow the CrossFit methodology of combining Cardio, Gymnastics and WeightLifting. Members compete daily with themselves through tangible means - like time, weight lifted and repetitions completed. Get a different WOD everyday - and get fit.

FIT CAMP (Functionally Intense Training thru Cardio And Mobility Performance):

Group classes that utilizes basic CrossFit "boot camp" style exercises - burpees, sit-ups, pull-ups, jumping jacks, etc. No barbells are used in this class which allows to safely accommodate a larger class size. This high intensity, high energy, well-rounded workout will get you moving, get you pumped, get you stronger, and get you fit.

Fit for Home:

Group classes that provide low-weight mobility CrossFit exercises geared to older adults looking to remain fit and functional in their daily life challenges. Through regular exercise and body weight strengthening, older members can stay safe and fit at home. Most movements will be scaled to fit the needs of each member, but the workout will be just as effective, fun and intense.

Weightlifting:

​Group classes with renowned OLY Coach, Dan Casey. Are you a Lifter? Come in and get instruction and cues from one of the best coaches in the area. Are you a CrossFitter? Come in and perfect that lift (or lifts) that give you trouble. With some excellent coaching and hard work, a new PR is within reach!!

Personal Training:

A one-on-one approach with clients who require additional help or who prefer to have their fitness goals met in a close training session. Personal training can also be used for athletes who have a specific set of goals that they would like met.
