About us
Dr. Alazar Haregu is a specialty care physician board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He joined Inova in 2024 and has been practicing since 2018.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Haregu completed his medical education and general pediatrics residency at the University of Virginia, and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Haregu has a special interest in acute care cardiology and quality improvement with a focus on the medically underserved population. His research interests have focused on the investigation of novel echocardiographic parameters of the left atrial function in the pediatric heart transplant population.
