About us
Dr. Amit Mahajan is the Medical Director of interventional pulmonology at Inova Health System. He is board certified in interventional pulmonology, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. Dr. Mahajan completed his fellowship at Harvard Hospital System’s Interventional Pulmonology Program.
Dr. Mahajan is nationally recognized as a leader in interventional pulmonology. His areas of expertise include procedures for diagnosing lung cancer, treating cancers within the airways, management of airway complications following lung transplantation, and bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR) for patients with severe emphysema. Additionally, Dr. Mahajan oversees Inova’s incidental lung nodule program and lung cancer screening program.
