About us
Dr. Amita Kumar is a specialty care physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology at Inova Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joined Inova Health System in 2023 and has been practicing since 2010.
Dr. Kumar values full-scope, comprehensive care for her patients and working with patients of all backgrounds. She would like to encourage a trusting atmosphere in the office and hospital, where she fully educates patients about their health and they make treatment decisions together. Her clinical areas of interest include obstetrics (especially high-risk obstetrics), contraceptive management, bleeding disorders and laparoscopic/hysteroscopic surgery. Dr. Kumar loves teaching and working with residents and medical students.
