About us
Dr. Assad Munis is a specialty care physician board certified in internal medicine at Inova Health System. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Munis started his career at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency, as well as a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Munis’ clinical areas of interest include esophageal diseases, abdominal and stomach diseases, colon cancer screening and colonic disorders, and acute and chronic liver disease. Dr. Munis values his time with patients. His care philosophy revolves around being an active listener and developing long-term relationships.
