Dr. Brian Z. Makhuli, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement, sports medicine, and knee and shoulder reconstruction. He practices at Resurgens Orthopaedics’ Acworth and Kennesaw locations in Georgia. Dr. Makhuli earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, where he also completed his residency. He further specialized with a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Long Beach. Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, his expertise includes total joint replacement, arthroscopy, and general orthopedics, providing advanced care for athletes and patients with joint and ligament injuries.
