About us

Dr. Dino Mendez leads the Pinnacle Dermatology plastic surgery practice. Dr. Mendez was born and raised in Chicago. He attended Illinois Wesleyan University for his Bachelor of Arts degree, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then completed his medical school and general surgery training at Loyola University Medical Center. To pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Mendez then moved to Dallas, TX where he trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital which is consistently one of the most highly regarded plastic surgery residency programs in the nation. He has over a dozen publications in the field, many of which he has presented at national conferences. He is a candidate member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Dr. Mendez resides in the Chicagoland suburbs with his wife and their daughter. His interests outside of plastic surgery are triathlons, world travel, ethnic cooking and the Chicago Bulls.
