About us
Dr. McQuaid, DNP, FNP-BC, AAHIVS launched his career as a virologist contributing to breakthroughs in Hepatitis C and HIV therapeutics. The 1996 loss of his partner to AIDS and the inadequate care he witnessed catalyzed his shift to clinical practice. Determined to improve outcomes for people living with chronic viral infections, he became a family nurse practitioner and later earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus on health care for gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM).
Now in his third decade of practice, Dr. McQuaid combines primary care with specialty expertise in HIV, hepatitis , and emerging viral pathogens.
