Dr. Edward Turpin is an attending physician at the University of Vermont Medical Center and assistant professor in neurological sciences at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. He specializes in sleep medicine and his interests in this field include sleep apnea, home sleep testing, and eHealth.
He elected to pursue sleep medicine as it combines a focus on the neurological sciences with the ability to help patients achieve a better quality of life through optimizing their mental and physical wellbeing. Dr. Turpin specializes in the treatment of sleep apnea as this may not only reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, but also often leads to an improvement in alertness, energy, and quality of life. He believes the best outcomes are achieved through individualized treatment plans.
