Vicente F. Garza, the founder of El Popular, emigrated from Monterrey, Mexico to the United States in 1925. On his journey to the Chicago area, he brought with him his family recipes along with a unique entrepreneurial spirit. One of the recipes that Vicente brought with him was Chorizo, which has since become our famous signature product and is offered in a wide variety of flavors.
