ELEGANT FLOWERS GIFTS in Forest Hills (Queens Blvd) just did a delivery of flowers for a birthday to one of our family friends. It turned out that the flowers that were delivered were not actually the ones ordered. The order was supposed to be a dozen roses containing exotic tropical flowers but upon delivery, only a half a dozen roses were seen and very few tropical flowers were seen. Some of the roses were even observed to be second-hand. In fact, the arrangement of flowers, the quality, and overall design was not at all consistent with the price and the requested order. I felt that I over paid and feel very disappointed. This was a second occurrence where a delivery of flowers was screwed up by the same vendor, Elegant Flowers. If you are planning to order flowers from them, make sure you actually see them before they are delivered. In fact, don’t ask for delivery. Make sure you pick them up yourself to check that the order is consistent with the one that was actually placed. There is a reason why you write down an order from a customer in the first place.
