About us
Emory McTyre, MD, is a physician specializing in radiation oncology at the Prisma Health Cancer Institute in Greenville, South Carolina. He provides care and treatment to patients with all types of cancer, with special interest in the treatment of prostate cancer and other malignancies of the genitourinary tract, as well as those of the central nervous system. He has expertise in the use of modern radiation techniques, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
Dr. McTyre earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. McTyre is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
