About us

Erik Scott, MD, brings exceptional training and a personal connection to the Big Bend, joining TMH Physician Partners - Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2025 as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. He earned both his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of South Florida then completed medical school at Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he was awarded the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons Summer Internship and completed a congenital heart surgery internship at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Dr. Scott went on to complete his residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Scott specializes in coronary artery revascularization, aortic and mitral valve surgery, atrial fibrillation ablation, aortic surgery and thoracic surgery, caring for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.

TMH Physician Partners - Cardiothoracic Surgery sees patients at the Archbold Specialty Clinic in Thomasville twice a month.
