About us
Erin Thurston, MD, joined Greenville Ob/Gyn Associates in August 2012. She was born and raised in Arlington, TX, and attended Texas Tech University for both her undergraduate degree and for medical school. She then moved to Greenville, SC, for her Ob/Gyn residency at Greenville Health System. During residency she was awarded the Golden Scalpel Award, the John V. Dacus Award for Excellence in Obstetrics, the Society for Laparoscopic Surgeons Award for Excellence in Laparoscopy, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award in Minimally Invasive Gynecology.
Dr. Thurston is board certified and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and has a special interest in minimally invasive laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Dr. Thurston currently serves as the Vice Chair of Quality for the Department of Ob/Gyn. She is married and has two sons. She spends her free time running around after kids and enjoying a good run or workout.
