Falcon Rest is known as the Victorian mansion where history is fun. Built in 1896 by manufacturer Clay Faulkner, the 10,000 sq.ft. mansion had all the modern conveniences -- indoor plumbing, central heat and air, telephones and more. The guided tours offered daily from 9 to 5 tell amusing stories about the family which lived there, and the antiques and structure have earned PBS's description as Tennessee's Biltmore. Overnight accommodations are available in other buildings on the grounds.
