About us

Farah H. Amro, MD, is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained maternal-fetal medicine specialist. She is the director of the Placenta Accreta Program at UT Physicians. 
She’s also an assistant professor of maternal-fetal medicine in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and the associate program director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program. 
Amro received her medical degree from the American University of Beirut in 2013. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency and fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine at McGovern Medical School. 
She has been invited to join the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She also received the Hypertension Innovator Award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office on Women’s Health (OWH).
