Melissa Merem joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 2024. She previously worked for 3 years as a Customer Service Associate at Ameriprise Financial.

Melissa holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Michigan and Ohio.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Melissa serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. She advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Melissa will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with family.
