Riding lessons and horse training are available in a range of disciplines including Western and English, bombproofing, and trail riding. Indoor & outdoor sand arenas, round pen, miles of trails through river bottom, hilly woods, & open field. Lesson horses available for all skill levels. Board includes daily turnout, free-choice hay, and wash stall.

I’ve been taking lessons, and more recently leasing one of their lesson horses, at Flying M for about 3 years now. From the first moment I walked into the barn, I was made to feel welcome. Everyone is very warm, friendly, and down-to-earth. There’s no comparing one horse or rider against another, no snootiness or overblown ego, and that is so rare in the horse world!
There’s a 4H club, the River Riders, and then quite a few of us laid back older riders who train, ride the trails, and practice in the arenas. The trails are gorgeous. The trainers use natural horsemanship methods and I can’t say enough good things about them. They teach us to treat horses with kindness, patience, and respect, but to always stay in firmly in control.
This is not a fancy facility, but the horses are both treated well, and well cared for.
