I live in Pickens, SC and I some information that you might need, if you have ever dealt with or plan to deal with Mary McKee at Four Paws Kennel.
I have boarded my dogs at Four Paws - the both came home with Giardia, dirty and my female was not given her medication while she was there. All boarders coming into Four Paws must have their shots, but Mary takes in dogs straight out of shelters that have had no vetting and she has NO place to quarantine them. They are there with your dogs. She is putting your dogs at risk. She has had to delay transports while dogs were treated for Giardia and tape worms. Is this a place you would want to put your dogs or get a dog from. NOT ME!
As to her love of dogs - here is a quote from an e-mail she sent a friend of mine: I hope all of your dogs and foster dogs get their throats slit, one by one, while you hear their screams and are forced to sit and watch them die. I have no more guilt.
Just a warning of what I have personally seen and heard - you decide.
