Locals and visitors from around the world come to Frankie’s Nursery for the rare and patented Meli Kalima pineapple. "Meli Kalima,” the Hawaiian name for honey cream, reflects the unique characteristics of this superior dessert pineapple. “Meli” describes the honey sugar content, while “Kalima” conveys the flesh color and creamy, dense texture of this pineapple.

Frankie’s Nursery offers many other tropical and subtropical fruit trees and shrubs, from small and large to ornamental and container. A small sampling of their other exclusive fruit trees includes the mango relative maprang, apple relative wax jambu, burmese grape, Malaysian carambola, halawa pummelo, malay apple, and aromatic soursop.

The cultivators at Frankie’s Nursery work to present their customers with a unique experience from other local retailers by offering tropical fruit trees not found on the island. Through biannual travel to tropical countries around the world, they bring back only the finest exotic plants and trees.

All tropical and subtropical trees are first introduced and grown right on Frankie’s Nursery farm. Only after they have exhibited their resilience and merit to life on the island are they cleared for public sale.
